Our surgical products are our largest range and include theatre quality instruments for most disciplines of surgery. We work closely with clinicians throughout the surgical disciplines to ensure our products exceed the needs of the clinician and the patient.
Our instruments are produced to our very high specifications. We use the highest quality German forgings to ensure steel quality and pattern conformity.
Each instrument is carefully quality checked by our quality control department at our head office. Our aim is to reject any substandard instrument before it leaves our warehouse. All our instruments are etched with the Timesco brand, a symbol of its quality and lifetime guarantee.
Most of our instruments are supplied in non reflective matt/satin finish. However, we also offer blackened finishes and nylon insulated products for ENT and Electrosurgery.
New to our product range is our single use ES LED Pencil that has been ergonomically designed with a independently operated LED light which is positioned below the electrode fitting giving you light directly onto the area you are operating on.
- More light means increased safety
- Extra illumination eliminating shadow effects
- Fully compatible with existing electrosurgical generations

Timesco recently commissioned Swann Morton to carry out a report into the cleaning and reprocessing of Timesco Surgical Instruments. They took twenty Timesco instruments, representing ten different product families and coated them with Brownes Artificial Test Soil. The solution was spiked with a solution containing a known amount of micro-organisms, yielding between 15 and 150 organisms per ml. All devices were left to dry for approximately 14 days then taken to the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
The report shows that if Timesco surgical instruments are processed correctly, instruments will be sterile after cleaning and sterilising through normal autoclaving procedures.

Due to recent stories in the media we would like to clarify our position on ethical trading. As one of the U.K's largest instrument suppliers we understand we have social and ethical responsibilities to every individual within our supply chain and our manufacturing processes. Child labour is an emotive subject and is high on our agenda.
Here at Timesco, as well as being committed to our internal equal opportunities and ensuring we exceed ethical and legal employment requirements, we are also focused on ensuring our factories and sub-contractors follow our lead.
All our manufacturing sites, either our own factories or sub-contractors’, are carefully vetted to ensure that they meet our ethical policy and that the conditions and welfare of the staff are paramount. We monitor fair pay and safe working conditions of our employees and ensure that there is no child labour used in any processes. We routinely inspect each production facility to ensure compliance as it is easy for such policies to become a ‘rubber stamp’.
Most of all, our key suppliers are registered and certified under the Child Labour Elimination program, a program developed by the UN’s International Labour Organisation. The ILO was created to specifically ‘monitor and govern decent working practices throughout the world’ and, most importantly, has the power to enforce ethical trading standards, including the monitoring and prohibition of child labour.
Andy Boylett , Timesco’s Operations Manager clarifies our position on ethical trading; ‘At Timesco, we take the health and welfare of our staff and the staff at our factories, as seriously as we do the health and welfare of the customers and patients that benefit from our products’.
Quality is undoubtedly the common thread that ties our business together – there is an underlying commitment to the highest expectations from our products, staff and manufacturing facilities, we are proud of our commitment in this area.
